Breneman, Jr., 92, passed away Monday morning, April 9, 2018 at The Glen at Willow Valley. Born on December 1, 1925 in Pequea Twp., he was the son of the late John R., Sr. and Anna Shank Breneman. He was the husband of Arlene M. Kann Breneman who passed away on March 21, 2017.John was a member of Charles M. Howell Lodge #496 F & AM, Millersville where he was a 50 year member, Lancaster Lodge of Perfection, Harrisburg Consistory and Zembo Shrine. John was a charter member of the Lancaster Chapter of ASA, Automotive Service Association.Early in life, John had a Willy's Dealership in Lancaster. He founded and owned Breneman Transmission and was proud to claim fame as one of the first to install aftermarket air conditioners in vehicles in the 1960's. He retired from his company in 1979. He was an East Coast salesman for Bee Line Equipment for many years. John also sold RV's in the Willow Street area. After retirement, John was involved with the Strasburg Pallet Company.John and his wife Arlene enjoyed spending winters in Sarasota, Florida. John enjoyed making and designing stained glass lamps.John is survived by his nephews, Douglas C., husband of Lynn M. Kann of East Petersburg and Jeffrey A. Kann of Conestoga; great nephews, Steven, Kevin, Kyle and Jesse Kann.Family and friends are respectfully invited to attend John's funeral services on Monday, April 16, 2018 at 11AM with Chaplain Edward Runkle officiating from the Melanie B. Scheid Funeral Directors & Cremation Services, The Gundel Chapel, 3225 Main Street, Conestoga, PA. Masonic Services will be performed by Charles M. Howell Lodge #496 prior to the service. Friends will be received at the funeral home on Monday from 10 to 11AM. Interment will be held in the Willow Street Mennonite Cemetery.
